AWE Crisis
Tuesday August 9, 2005
Crisis this week only had one hour to showcase their event, because the news was focused around more serious issues. That being said, the matches that occurred were short but sweet.
Pain vs. Stryker Cloud.
The match began solidly, but Cloud’s experience soon had Pain reeling. Cloud kept up the advantage until Pain’s powerhouse was able to turn the tide, catching Cloud off guard. Pain felt confident he was going to pull this off, but Cloud surprised him with a school-boy roll up, grabbing the 3 count and victory.
Ryan Helms vs Kyle Richards
Helms waited in the ring for Richards, who apparently had been stuck in traffic. He made it barely in time and in the rush, was unprepared for Helm’s ring work, taking Richards further then he expected. However, Kyle managed to turn the tide, and executing his finisher cleanly, put Helms away for the 3!
Main Event
Damon Harrison & Donyell Carter vs Jen & David Blazenwing
This mixed tag action was by far the best match of the evening. Alll four saw in ring action for a good 30 minute match. Everytime Damon and David came face to face, the crowd was on it’s feet, and both men equaled out far more then they’d expected. Jen was over powered by Donyell, but the problems with Damon and Donyell allowed her to get a few chances to turn the tide. Near the end, David and Damon spilled outside the ring, leaving the two legal competitors inside. While the ref was momentarily distracted by the brawling outside, Jen hit a swift kick right where it counts, and rolled Donyell up, and when the ref turned, counted 3 giving the Blazenwings the victory and much needed momentum going into the PPV.
When the match was over, ‘Come with Me’ hit and Jarvis came sauntering out, laughing about how he’d screwed with Chamelion’s plans to have him fight the handicap match tonight. He then boasted about having a spectacular PPV match to prove his worth to be the World Champion. Chamelion came out there, smirking, and assured that Jarvis indeed would be able to prove his worth… if he could surpass his opponent at the PPV. Jarvis shrugged, knowing that everyone even remotely capable of fighting him was already booked… so whatever Chamelion could send at him would be fine.
Chamelion nodded, and introduced Jarvis’s opponent for Global Warning would be non other then RAIZZOR!
Jarvis’s expression of shock would close out the show for the week.
